It’s Dappled Cities Week here at the indie girl’s guide to…
I opened up my email this morning to find Stereogum‘s weekly Gum Drop newsletter, and to my surprise who was the featured mp3 for this week – yep you guessed it – Dappled Cities.
The track Answer is Zero is taken from the forthcoming record Zounds and you can get the mp3 by signing up to the newsletter here.
It’s a beautiful track, very synth-y (is that a word??), very lush. In the accompanying interview on Stereogum, Tim says Answer is Zero is “Dappled’s closest thing to a love song – but it’s more a comment on love rather than a classic pine.”
Last week when I caught up with Ned he described Answer is Zero as an “intense, beautiful song with a dark undercurrent”.
