The indie girl’s guide to…fave gigs of 2009
My favourite gigs of 2009….
The year started off with a bang! It was a very big January full of Falls Festival sideshow goodness and Sydney Festival splendour. The first show of my year, Fleet Foxes was easily one of the best. Seeing St. Vincent in the intimate surrounds of the Famous Spiegeltent was such a pleasure, I had to see her twice!
2009 was the year I finally got to see some international acts that I have long loved tour our shores. The Duke Spirit toured here, Jenny Lewis finally made it here and Metric got big and toured here – yay!
Dappled Cities brought it home with a headline show at the Metro, and my old faves Death Cab for Cutie and Youth Group teamed up for a special show at the Enmore. Lots of gig goodness.
